MY RESUME OF BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA

Bridge to Terabithia By Katherine Paterson Bridge to Terabithia is a work of children's literature about two lonely children who create a magical forest kingdom. Jesse Aarons becomes friends with his new neighbor Leslie Burke after he loses a footrace to her at school. Leslie is a smart, talented, outgoing tomboy, and Jesse thinks highly of her. Jesse is an artistic boy that is fearful, angry, and depressed. After meeting Leslie, Jesse's life is transformed. He becomes courageous and learns to let go of his frustration. Jess Aarons greatest ambition is to be the fastest runner in the fifth grade. He had gotten up early every day all summer to run. He can’t wait to see his classmates’ faces when he beats them all. He had to be the faster, not one of the fastest or next to the fastest but the fastest. But on the first day of school, a new girl boldly crosses over to the boys’ side of the playground and outruns everyone. They became best friend and built a kingdom of imagination in the back of their home named Terabithia. To visit the kingdom they must cross difficult way. They must cross the river. Jess and Leslie must swing with the rope to get their secret place. Day by day they passed with laugh and smile. Jess and Leslie comfort their kingdom until a bad condition happened. Jess heard a bad news that Leslie fallen down from the rope and collide the stone. Leslie passed away. After that accident Jesse never go there anymore. He always remembered his queen, Leslie. Finally, he got up from his sadness and built a bridge to Terabithia. Jesse has a new life now. He also invited his little sister, May Belle to visit the kingdom. Jesse make a ritual to his sister. He put crown made from flowers on her head. Then May Belle is the next queen of Terabithia.
